DAY 2 | Lima | Culinary experience, city tours, and the Larco Museum

Explore vibrant Peruvian cuisine by starting your day with a visit to a local market, where you’ll discover the diverse array of ingredients we have to offer. Next, you’ll head to a renowned restaurant to take part in a cocktail-making class, where you’ll learn how to prepare the Pisco Sour, Peru’s national drink. At 12:00 p.m., you’ll enjoy a cooking class where you’ll learn to prepare traditional Peruvian dishes. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to taste the delicacies you’ve prepared, bringing this immersive experience in Lima’s culinary culture to a close.

In the afternoon, you’ll explore Lima’s historic center, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour begins at Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion gifted in 1535 by the conquistador Francisco Pizarro to Jerónimo de Aliaga. This is the only house from that era that still belongs to the same family. You’ll then continue your tour through the colonial center, where you’ll see the Plaza de Armas, featuring magnificent architecture from the Spanish Empire. You’ll also see the famous Cathedral, built in the 16th century. The tour ends at the Larco Museum, which has been ranked among the world’s top 25 museums by TripAdvisor users and houses an impressive collection of pre-Columbian gold and silver artifacts, textiles, and erotic art. With 20th-century mansions, art galleries, and a vibrant nightlife, this district is one of the most charming in the capital. After strolling through its charming streets, you’ll stop at a typical street food stand to sample local delicacies.
