Along the way, we will admire the breathtaking scenery dominated by the Atitlán, Tolimán, and San Pedro volcanoes, which frame this region of unparalleled beauty.

Our first destination will be San Juan La Laguna, a picturesque village inhabited by the Tz’utujil Maya community. This village is distinguished by the harmonious relationship between its people, nature, and culture. We will stroll through its streets, adorned with colorful outdoor murals that showcase the community’s creativity and artistic traditions.

We will then board the boat again to reach Santiago Atitlán, a village inhabited by the Tz’utujil people, who primarily make their living through fishing and handicrafts. The village is famous for its devotion to Maximón, a Mayan-Catholic deity worshipped through offerings of tobacco, liquor, and money, accompanied by dancing and prayers in his honor.

After the visit, we will return to the hotel.
