Reception at the airport and transfer to our hotel in Guatemala City. Accommodation.

Breakfast. We will depart for the Guatemalan highlands heading to the town of Chichicastenango, where we will visit one of the most famous indigenous markets in all of Latin America. Today we will enjoy an experiential activity: a corn workshop with local women, focusing on the staple food of Guatemala. After the workshop, we will continue towards Lake Atitlán, which Huxley described as the most beautiful in the world. Accommodation.

Breakfast. Today we will take a boat to visit two of the twelve villages surrounding this beautiful lake. We will visit the Tzutuhil village of San Juan La Laguna, characterized by the harmony in which its inhabitants coexist with nature and culture. We will continue to Santiago Atitlán, a town inhabited by Tzutuhil indigenous people who live off fishing and handicrafts, although they are best known as worshipers of a Mayan-Catholic deity they call Maximón. Accommodation.

Breakfast. We will set off towards La Antigua Guatemala. Along the way, we will visit the archaeological site of Iximché, the ancient Mayan capital of the Kaqchikel kingdom. Upon our arrival in La Antigua, we will visit this colonial city declared a World Heritage Site, where we will explore its main streets and monuments. Accommodation.
