Bávaro is a tourist area in Punta Cana, located in La Altagracia province. In Bávaro there are many funny excursions to explore stunning natural areas. One is a trip to nearby Saona Island, a beautiful protected area with exceptional beaches. Another is a visit to Hoyo Azul, a spectacular natural lagoon, and scuba diving and snorkeling in Bavaro and Punta Cana are also extremely popular. The clear waters provide an excellent opportunity to observe the colorful underwater plant and animal life of the Caribbean.
