Regarding cruises that include the Dominican Republic among their destinations, please note that the Dominican authorities charge entry and exit fees to international visitors in the country.

These mandatory fees are structured as follows:

• Departure tax: a fee of USD 20.00 per passenger applies to all embarking guests, without exception.

• Entry tax (Tourist Card): a fee of USD 10.00 per passenger applies to all disembarking guests. Dominican citizens, legal residents, guests with a valid Dominican visa, and Brazilian citizens are exempt from paying this fee.

To ensure a smooth and efficient transit experience at the cruise terminal, MSC Cruises pays these fees directly to local authorities on behalf of the passengers. The amount will be charged to the passenger's onboard account.

These fees are established by the authorities of the Dominican Republic and apply to all cruise lines and travelers, regardless of age. MSC Cruises does not determine or control these charges.

MSC Fly & Cruise guests flying into La Romana (LRM) are considered in transit and are exempt from the Dominican Republic entry and exit fees only if the arrival flight occurs on the same day as the cruise embarkation and the departure flight occurs on the same day as disembarkation. In all other Fly & Cruise cases (different airports or different travel dates), the mandatory fees will apply and will be charged to the onboard account.
