Day 2 | Panamá City
Day 2 | Panamá City

Breakfast at the hotel. Today includes a visit to the capital to discover the most remarkable sites of this cosmopolitan city, starting with the Amador Causeway, worth admiring for its spectacular views of the city and the Panama Canal. Enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the skyline, with ships waiting to enter the canal and passing under the Bridge of the Americas. The tour continues to the Miraflores Locks, where you can observe ships transiting through this point of the canal and how the locks operate. Next, explore the Old Quarter (Casco Antiguo), the city's colonial area, which was actually the second city of Panama and is characterized by its colonial architecture.

The visit continues to see what today constitutes the Modern City of Panama, with its skyscrapers, modern buildings, hotels, apartment blocks, banking district, restaurant area, and the waterfront promenade. After the tour, return to the hotel with free time to continue exploring the city at your leisure. Free night. Accommodation.

Day 3 | Emberá Indigenous Community
Day 3 | Emberá Indigenous Community

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a departure toward Chagres National Park, located 1:15 hours from Panama City. Upon arrival, we will board the famous "piraguas" or canoes—traditional Emberá boats carved from a single tree trunk. During the 30-minute boat ride along the Gatun River, which is part of the Canal Watershed, we will enjoy a spectacular view of the rainforest and various animals inhabiting this ecosystem. At the end of the journey, we will spot the village of "Emberá Querá," which means "Emberá Perfume," where our cordial hosts await us.

From this moment on, we will enjoy their music and dances, learn about their culture and traditions, and tour the village to visit their traditional residences. The "Chaman" or tribe healer will speak to us about the healing power of rainforest plants. At lunchtime, we will taste fresh fish (catch of the day), fried green plantains, and fruits. The Emberá are excellent, detailed, and dedicated artisans; this is an ideal place to purchase handicrafts, which are true works of art made from seeds, fibers, natural dyes, and fine wood. When it is time to depart, we board the boat back to the mainland to take our vehicle back to Panama City, followed by a transfer to the hotel to enjoy a free afternoon.

Day 4 | Welcome to the Panamanian Caribbean
ImageComing soon

Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Isla Colón, in the Bocas del Toro archipelago, located on the Caribbean Sea coast near the border with Costa Rica. This beautiful and peaceful archipelago is composed of more than 60 islands, islets, and mangrove cays. Spanish colonizers first arrived at this location during Christopher Columbus's fourth and final voyage to the new continent. Starting in 1502, these lands were part of the Governorate of Veragua. In 1821, following the independence of the Captaincy General of Guatemala, the archipelago became part of that state as Costa Rican territory. However, in 1836, the neighboring Republic of New Granada took possession of the territory, which then became part of the Department of Panama. In 1903, after Panama's separation from Colombia, it became part of the Republic of Panama. In 1997, a large portion of the territory was assigned to the Ngäbe-Buglé indigenous community, which spans the continental and mountainous territory of the central mountain range and the Caribbean coast.

Arrival at the hotel on Isla Colón. Rest of the day free to begin discovering the beautiful corners of this archipelago and its diverse attractions. The small town features a typical Caribbean atmosphere with wooden buildings, where you can find pleasant terraces, bars, and restaurants to savor both regional and international cuisine.

Day 5 | Exuberance: Discover Dolphin Bay, Coral Cay, and Zapatilla Cay
ImageComing soon

We will head to Dolphin Bay where we will see these wonderful species, then we will go to Coral Cay where we will have time for snorkeling and free time for lunch. We continue our journey to Zapatilla Cay, a place where we will enjoy paradisiacal beaches, and finally, we will visit Sloth Island.

We set out from Isla Colon towards Dolphin Bay to visit these species in their natural habitat. Our next point will be Coral Cay. We will visit a coral reef garden where we will do our snorkeling activity (equipment not included). This is a very colorful site where you will find a varied and picturesque marine ecosystem. We will stop to recharge our energy with a typical Caribbean lunch. This lunch will be at a restaurant located over the sea, offering one of the best views of the Bocas del Toro archipelago.

We continue towards Zapatilla Cay, a small island surrounded by white sand beaches that will surely captivate you with its beauty. The main attraction of Zapatilla Cay is its abundant nature and exuberance. We will enjoy some free time on the beach.

Day 6 | Natural Contact: Discover Bird Island, Boca del Drago, and Starfish Beach
ImageComing soon

First stop: Bird Island (Isla Pájaros), a natural bird sanctuary. Next, we will head to Boca del Drago, a place with an interesting history. We will then continue to Starfish Beach (Playa de las Estrellas), known for its crystal-clear waters and an abundance of starfish. Finally, we will enjoy a delicious Caribbean lunch.

We set out for Bird Island, a natural bird sanctuary where you can observe different species, including frigates, pelicans, terns, boobies, and swallows. We will take a tour around the island for a true experience of being in contact with nature.

The second point of this excursion is Boca del Drago; our guides will share the history of this site and its tourist attractions. Among the main characteristics of Starfish Beach are the starfish themselves and its calm, turquoise waters.

A typical Caribbean lunch will be served at a restaurant located right on the beach, while you enjoy a spectacular view of the Panamanian Caribbean.

Day 7 | Manatee Visit - Boquete
Day 7 | Manatee Visit - Boquete

Very early breakfast as we have a day full of activities ahead. Check out at 07:45 am to take our transportation to the "TAXI BOAT" pier. Approximately a 45-minute motorboat ride to "ALMIRANTE." Here, our transportation will be waiting to take us to the "SAN SAN PON SAK" area (approx. 45-minute drive). San San Pon Sak protects important coastal ecosystems, including beaches that serve as nesting grounds for sea turtles, as well as coastal lagoons and rivers that provide a habitat for the threatened manatees and numerous coastal birds.

Upon arrival at the facilities, we will receive a brief welcome talk covering safety rules and behavior in the area, as well as the characteristics of what we will see during the tour. Then, we will embark on a boat trip to the manatee observation platform (approx. 40 min). The boat travels at a moderate speed so the guide can explain the Wetland environment. Upon reaching the platform, we must remain silent to attract the manatees without scaring them. Here, the guide will provide reinforced information about manatees using illustrated sheets regarding their diet, reproduction, behavior, and habitat. We will have time for a short coffee break. We will spend approximately 45 minutes here before returning to San San Pon Sak.

Once the adventure is over, we continue our land journey to our next destination (approximately 3.5 hours).

Day 8 | Sunrise in the Heights at Baru Volcano – 4x4 Jeep Adventure
Day 8 | Sunrise in the Heights at Baru Volcano – 4x4 Jeep Adventure

Today your adventure begins at Baru Volcano National Park. The park is a scenic area of high ecological and geological value that protects biological diversity with unique species. The departure time is set for 03:30 am, where we will cover about 22 kilometers in the ascent to 3,474 meters above sea level. This unforgettable adventure lasts approximately 5 hours.

Due to the narrowness of the Panamanian isthmus and the volcano's height, on a clear day, it is possible to see both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea from its summit—one of the few or nearly unique places in the Americas where you can live this experience. Occasional sleet has been recorded at the summit. The minimum temperature can drop below zero degrees Celsius during clear nights from December to March, and frost formation is frequent. The volcano is located 50km from the Pacific Ocean and about 40km from the Atlantic.

Arrival at the top is around 6:00 am! Get ready to discover and appreciate the splendor of the majestic Baru Volcano. The point where vehicles arrive is at 3,400 meters above sea level; it is here that the third stage of your adventure begins. Just 300 meters away and 74 meters higher in altitude lies the imposing Summit of the Baru Volcano Massif. You will walk with your professional guide and provided safety equipment for about 30 minutes to reach the geodesic point—witness to your adventure and the breathtaking spectacle of the rising sun illuminating your dreams.

Our safe return home begins from the summit back to the vehicles at 6:30 am, followed by the descent to the community of Boquete, arriving at approximately 09:30 am.

You will have the rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the hotel amenities or take part in optional activities.

Day 9 | Boquete / Return to Panama City
Day 9 | Boquete / Return to Panama City
